My Sister Demanded I Hand Over My Baby to Her

My older sister genuinely believes she has a right to my unborn child, and my parents are actually taking her side in this dispute.

I am currently six months pregnant. My sister, Karen, has struggled with family planning for years, which is heartbreaking, but her reaction to my pregnancy has escalated into total delusion. She started referring to my pregnancy as "our project." She even bought a crib and set it up in her house without asking.

Yesterday, we were at a family brunch. I mentioned that my husband and I decided on the name Lily.

Karen slammed her fork down and said, "No, we already agreed the baby is going to be named Harper. Lily doesn't fit my nursery color theme."

I laughed, thinking it was a weird joke. "Well, it's my child, so I’m naming her Lily."

Karen looked at me with completely serious eyes. "You already have a kid. It’s my turn to be a mother. You need to let me raise this one."

I literally choked on my water. I told her she was out of her mind. My mother leaned over and whispered, "Just let her lead the planning, she’s been through so much emotional stress. You can always have another one later."

I grabbed my coat and left immediately. They have been texting me all morning asking for my medical portal login. I am blocking them today.
